BLUE.

I was recently traveling back from a holiday, and as I stared out of the flight window into the captivating sky, the clouds which continued for miles and miles were not only prepossessing, but also enchanting. I was lost in this beauty, and wished never to leave that sight. The color BLUE with its various hues and tints, relaxed me, took me to all together another heaven, and it struck me to bring in more of blue to my home.
As, we know the color psychology behind this cool color, is that it creates an atmosphere of calmness, and peace, while retaining its bold and undaunted strength.

Adding a tint( lighter hues of blue), to your bedroom, projects serenity, reduces stress and tranquility as it is not stressful to the eye. These may include Aqua marine, electric turquoise, malachite, manganese blue and cool mint.
Whereas, the shades (darker hues of blue), may include dark blue, navy blue, midnight blue, zaffre, ultramarine and phthalo blue.
Using this cool color in your living room initiates conversation, promotes honesty, confidence, security and reliability, this is a reason why this color is used in banks and other government and private organizations.
One drawback of this is that it makes a person lose their appetite, as we do not find blue used in a lot of food items or fruits, therefore it is least preferred in restaurants, and dining rooms.

Accessories in blue can also create an impression if you do not want to use too much of the color.
Keep in mind that while using this color, the other upholstery, furniture or furnishings must be coordinated, you do not want to mix this with bright orange in a well illuminated room, or with dark green, in a dimmer room. Nevertheless, blue goes well with all colors when used wisely.
